How did water arrive to Earth and formed oceans?

It happened around 3.8 billions of years ago (At this point, the solar system was already 1 billion years old.).

All planets closer to the sun are very solid and dense, composed of rock and metals. The other planets that are farther away, are composed of gases, ice... So they are less dense.

But Earth at that point, closer to the sun and dense (4 billions years ago) was very hot and no water could be found, it was full of fire lava and volcanoes and so on.

All this happened because of two things; outgassing which was happening in the planet Earth and huge comets attacks, crashing with the Earth.
(Outgassing: is the process where rocks release gases, in the planet -this thing also helped create the atmosphere. Volcanic activity? Is outgassing, for example.)

Comets have ice (Just so you know).

So the thing is that at that point, Earth was so hot, that water stayed in gaseous form until Earth's surface cooled down. The ground on earth was too hot, so water couldn't be water, it had to be in gaseous form. When Earth cooled down, after million years, then water that was in gaseous form, started condensing and became rain, and that's how little by little we started collecting water in oceans, which were nothing before, just small puddles.

So why is the water salty in the oceans? Because as water started creating and entering the ocean (from the atmosphere > from rain) it brought also gases that had been evaporated from volcanoes and geysers and so on. Water also at this time, was flowing on the Earth (Which has minerals on the ground), brought the minerals, that's why it's salty.

And yes, in the universe there is ice (water) and other planets have water too, just in different states. The whole universe has probably water.

All took at least 1 billion years to happen :]

We don't see what is happening right now

So, isn't it strange that when we look into the sky, what we are seeing, is just something that has already happened?

We all know that stars are millions of years away from our planet. That being said, if we see a star from our sky, we are seeing what happened with that star millions or billions of year lights away.

1 year light = 9232406099999.992 km.

Some astronomers say that the farthest they can see is about 18,000,000,000 light years away. Do you get how much that is?

So, all we think we know about galaxies, stars, planets and different things in the universe, are things that happened billions of years ago. It is not happening now, it has already happened, so looking into the sky... is looking into the past.

So, I suppose we don't know too much and that means our knowledge is very old.

On earth I guess, if we see something a few meters away, that something's light should take a while until it reaches our eyes, because our eyes see light.

If we could see things many km away, many many, we would be seeing it delayed. It would already have happened there and we would have been thinking it is happening right now.

So wait, we are seeing right now something that happened let's say... 15.000.000 light years away. Ok, the light of that object has already traveled 15.000.000 light years. But, the universe is expanding (gets bigger and bigger all the time, like an explosion). So since the 15.000.000 light years the light of the object took to arrive to Earth, it has already moved even more. How fast and how much? I don't know, but who knows, 10x more? 50x? 10.000x?

But... Maybe, we are also moving at a similar speed? Everything in the universe moves, but to different directions? Same direction? Maybe not. I don't know :)

So... from what I understand, we see the past.

Galaxies

Do you know that our planet moves?

Do you know that every planet moves?

Do you know that our sun moves?

Do you know that our galaxy moves?

Do you know that all galaxies move?

Do you know that the universe moves?

...Did you know that there are different universes? (That is a good topic for another entry)

Ok... so did you know that our galaxy will collide with another galaxy, somewhere in the future? It could be between 3 to 5 billion years from now.

The other galaxy (Andromeda) which will collide with ours, moves at about 120 km/s. So that's 432.000 km/h.

What will happen? There have been said a few things. Maybe it will become a super galaxy Andromeda and Milky Way together. Maybe it will just destroy everything?

I am not sure, I haven't found out enough about it.

Aliens

Ever thought about other planets and aliens?
Many people ignore the possibility of other civilizations in outer space. Mostly because they are a bit narrow minded, maybe because they have not learned enough.

But, isn't it really interesting?

Do you know that our solar system is in a galaxy?
Do you know that in our galaxy there are different solar systems?
Do you know that we can see about 10.000 galaxies from 0,000020% of ONE constellation?

And what is a constellation?
From what I understand, astronomers divide our sky (with lines -paths- , roadlike lines) into different pieces (Like a map with countries and roads). Each of these pieces on the map (countries with roads) are called constellations. So there are 88 constellations on the sky's map that astronomers have made. The roads are patterns of stars. These have different shapes, for example: triangle or animal shapes. Each road or pattern of stars, has a start and an end (So, it has borders, ends).

So we can count 10.000 galaxies... on only 0,000020% of only one constellation. It is not even 0,1% of the constellation. How many galaxies would there be if you take the whole 100% piece of this constellation? It would be like counting... How many houses are in one city or a whole country?

Start thinking; how many solar systems would there be within each of those galaxies?

And we can't even see that far yet... astronomers believe from what they have learned that we can count 125 billion galaxies...

But the universe doesn't even have an end... So it is more...

Astronomers have discovered super earth like planets. That means planets with water, etc etc.
They can also tell the age of these planets. Many of them are older than planet earth.
So if they are so similar, they can sustain life, like in our planet, of course :)

So, if these planets are older, they could sustain life, but being older planets, their civilizations would be more advanced (More time and more experience).

There are billion of planets like our planet earth. But ok, if we don't know anything (Because we can't know with the little knowledge we have) how can we not believe that there is life? At least we cannot leave out the possibility that there are planets sustaining life. It would be just silly if we didn't.

If you are super intelligent, you should start questioning yourself, why have you been so silly all these years, thinking that it is only "us" in the universe :)

Our galaxy, the Milky Way, has at least 120 billion earthlike planets. Yes, only our galaxy.
There are about 100 billion sunlike stars in our Milky Way.
So if there are at least 125 billion galaxies, and each galaxy (from 125 billion galaxies) has 2 billion Earthlike planets... What do you think?

So how usual can life in the universe be? If there has been life before, are there records? Like bones, fossils or I don't know... Anything?

Hi?

Why do we always see other people...? But only their wrapping?

Why not beyond their eyes? Why not think that they have a soul and life... A brain working...

I think most of us don't know what a person really is. Otherwise the world would be different.

Sometimes I think and wonder... What have we become?

Why when we are becoming adults or trying to be them, we make such ugly decisions and choices...

When you are a kid... You don't do bad stuff, because there are no bad intentions. You don't know what it means.

When you grow up... you use your brain, you know what you do, but you don't thinking about the rest of the world... You use your egoism...

I don't like changes, I feel sad for people who don't know how to feel or be sensitive...

... I still feel weird for writing things, I have a hard time applying this myself sometimes, but every day I am more connected to myself...

Seeing beyond...

My eyes know more than what my own brain can explain in words...

My eyes see much more than what my own words can say from what I can see...

My eyes know more than what my own words can explain...
